Earlier this month as a birthday present to myself I went to the Carnival of Madness concert featuring We As Human, In This Moment, Skillet, Papa Roach and Shinedown. I can say it was a truly memorable experience. The down and upside to it was that it rained like crazy and I got completely soaked! The other downside was that we had two severe thunderstorm warnings and a flash flood warning and they had to pause the concert after Papa Roach - it was just that bad.

Since the Shinedown was postponed I actually ended up leaving before they hit the stage. I was starting to get the sniffles and it was only a matter of time before I'd start getting sick. I did really want to see them, but maybe another time.

I was up on the front row in the pit area so I got to see everything up close and it was great! I met some really nice people there and had some great conversation with a couple that was standing next to me.

This outfit is inspired by the experience. I bought a Skillet right before I left and it fits right into my wardrobe. Below the fashion are some photos I took with my iPhone 5 before the weather got to o bad.

My favorite part of the concert happened earlier in the day. I had the opportunity to meet and greet with Skillet! I love being able to meet bands and walk away still loving them because they are very kind and very silly.
